Solution design · two pictures of how it works

How a sale gets confirmed, and how the brains think.

Two diagrams, nothing more. The first shows the path a sale takes from the moment it's proposed to the moment it lands at the elevator — and every person who has to say yes first. The second shows all the information flowing in, how Freis boils it down into one read at three time horizons — the call now, the week's tactics, and the year's outlook — and how often each piece refreshes.

Asset 1 · the trade flowchart

Phase 1

Sale confirm workflow

A sale never moves on its own. It gets proposed, the whole group is asked to confirm, and only once everyone has said yes does the offer go to Akron. Read it top to bottom.

Start

Freis trigger

A sale is proposed — a price target is hit or someone decides it's time to sell.

Fan out

Confirmation goes to the group

One text goes out to everyone at once, laying out the bushels, the crop, and the price.

Quorum

Everyone confirms

Each person replies Y from their own phone. The board fills in as replies come back.

Dan Susan Maryann Alison Kevin Patrick

All six are the required yes — the sale can't advance until every one of them replies. If reminders go unanswered, the system nudges them; it never answers for them.

Go-ahead

Patrick sends the green light

"All confirmed."

Done

Offer placed in Akron

Only now is the offer entered in the Akron app as a real, standing bid to sell.

Every arrow needs a person. No confirmations, no sale — the offer only reaches Akron after the whole group has said yes.

Asset 2 · the freis brains

How Freis works — everything in, one read out

A lot goes in on the left; Freis reads all of it together and speaks in three time horizons on the right — the call now, this week's tactics, the year's outlook. Each feed keeps its own clock; here's what comes in and how often.

Freis Brains

Reads every feed together and boils it down — grounded in the numbers, never inventing one.

One read, three horizons

What comes out

Freis, in three horizons

  • Call sell or hold, right now
  • Read this week's tactics & why
  • Outlook the year and the crop mix

Live on the dashboard · texted weekly + on big moves

One source, one voice. Every number on the screen traces back to the same live books, so the figures can never drift apart — and only the Call ever says sell or hold. The gauges, the basis, and the read are inputs to it; they defer to the real position, so the dashboard never tells you to sell grain that's already gone.

The funnel goes one way: many feeds in, one read out — the same call, read, and outlook whether you open the dashboard or get the weekly text, which also flags what changed and how far off the next planned sale window is. The brains only ever answer; the actual sale still runs through the confirmation workflow above, where a person says yes at every step.
